Hi all, I'm in search of a quote about Fantine. Hugo writes that Fantine was always smiling, but looking down as though observing the happiness of her own face.
This is not the exact wording, but can anybody send me the original quote? Lists with This Book.

The book, much like its two previous volumes, went off on pointless side explanations, Hugo expounding random knowledge and his personal philosophies.
I also felt like in the second part of the book, not even the sections telling the actual story were spared his garrulity. Every other conversation turned into a five page monologue that repeated the same idea, using different words, over and over and over again.
